The 新濠天地app大学 Student Center renovation includes a state-of-the-art accessibility lift at the main entrance. The lift allows any students or visitors with disabilities or who have difficulty scaling stairs to access the Brigadoon, 校园收发室, 斯凯休息室, the 学生成功中心, the Center for Calling and Career, the 十字路口 Enriched Learning Office, the 学生发展 Office, 书店, 和更多的.
Workers removed one side of the double staircase at the entrance to make way for the lift. 惊人的木制品, including the stairwell railings, received a facelift thanks to Geneva's in-house carpenter, 理查德•弗莱舍评论. The remaining stairs were completely rebuilt. In addition to the added functionality, 电梯很黑, tinted plexiglass creates an attractive display when viewed along with the warm-brown wood wall panels and the embossed gold tin ceiling.
A donation from the estate of Martha Hamiilton '46 financially supported the work. Hamilton was a librarian for 31 years in the New Brighton School District after graduating from Geneva. Her gift is helping to make the Geneva campus more accessible to everyone and enabling the college to live out the core value of inspiring vibrant hospitality.
